From Two to Many Suns

I want to go to China, Japan, the USA, and other countries as a speaker at conferences or as a judge at hackathons.

There are multiple reasons why I want to do this.

First, I’m honestly bored of staying in Surat all the time. Most of my outings are limited and usually revolve around religious places. I want to go out, explore new places, and experience different cultures. I think that would genuinely make me happy and help me grow as a person.

People who chase the sun are called sun seekers. I am trying to escape it. But here is the thing — the sun is the same everywhere. The light, however, is different.

Second, I feel like traveling purely as a tourist might feel empty to me. I would probably carry this constant anxiety of not working or not focusing on my goals. But going as a speaker or judge feels different. It gives the trip a purpose. I would get to meet interesting people, learn new things, exchange ideas, and maybe even discover opportunities I never expected.

Third, I think it could help cover travel and stay expenses, which makes the idea more practical.

Fourth, experiences like these often lead to outcomes you cannot predict. You meet people you never thought you would meet, see things you never imagined, and sometimes entire directions in life change because of one trip or one conversation.

Fifth, I think it would help with visas, credibility, and overall pedigree as a founder and builder.

And honestly, I also want to do it because it feels new and slightly uncomfortable. It requires courage.

This year, I renewed my passport. In the last 10 years, I visited only one country for a vacation. In the passport before that, I also visited just one country for a holiday.

Two countries in two decades.

I want to change that.
